Jennifer Baum, publisher and editorial director
Jennifer founded Scribe Consulting LLC in 2010 to work with individuals and companies on their publishing, writing, editing and marketing needs. She is also publisher and editorial director of Scribe Publishing Company, an award-winning trade publisher founded in 2011.
Jennifer serves on the board of directors of the Midwest Independent Publishing Association (MIPA) as treasurer and as MIPA’s liaison to the national Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA).
She is co-author of “The Glass Palace: Illusions of Freedom and Democracy in Qatar,” published in 2012 by Algora Publishing. She served as the chief editor for Usher Morgan’s “From Rats to Riches,” published in 2011 by Library Tales Publishing, and was a contributing editor for Library Tales Publishing and a contributing writer for Ambassador magazine (Detroit, Michigan) and Creative Impact Michigan (a monthly e-magazine formerly published by ArtServe Michigan). She has also been published in the national WOD Talk Magazine (March/April 2013).
Prior to establishing Scribe Consulting, Jennifer served as editor of two regional magazines and held a host of other positions in the field of marketing & communications.
She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in English and German from Western Michigan University (2003). In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys exercise, hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband, children and beagle. She lives in Royal Oak, Michigan.
